Edit the brochure

Since AR media button are not compatible with iPad, the best way to manipulated it is make the 3 Marker for each room. So, our lecture ask us to edit and print it. This is the final part of this Assignment

Presentation Day !

After we finished all the things, from 3D, marker, and also brochures. Now before the presentation day, we try the AR Marker on iPad, and this is the screen shot of that

FINISH ALL THE ROOM

FINALLY FINISHED !!!!

I finished all the room details in 3 weeks, so much problem doing this. My computer got error and the file crash, that's why the finishing part is a bit late. This is the screen shot of Final Room.

Add the detail in to 3D room

When my group member finish all the plain room, now it's time to me to put all the details in that 3 rooms. I start from Matrix, which is quite challenging and fun. In this session, the hardest part is to make the position look good and must follow the exact position.

From this I can learn how to use the camera on Maya, using the material inside the Maya, and can give me a new knowledges for 3D by using AutoDesk Maya. 

I try to finish it faster, I only have 3 weeks to go for the submission.

Find the colour for 3d room

While my friend are creating the 3D room, I try to find the wallpaper and also the carpet for the room.
These are some wallpaper that I used for the wall and floor.

All the wallpaper and floor is 90% same with the actual one in Ruemz Hotel. To make it details, so I must find the closest one. 

Create the User Interface in Adobe Illustrator

In this week, we do the Use interface for Samsung Galaxy SIII. We try to imagine the final product will be like this. We try to design it by using Adobe Illustrator.

Redesign the brochure

The actual brochure is bad and lack of information. So, we try to design the new brochure and more fresh. These are my own design for Ruemz Hotel Brochure

At the first, my design was only 1 side only, then do the research and make the flip one like this

Do the Survey in Ruemz Hotel

After we got the permission from the manager hotel, then we start to do the survey, start from taking picture about the condition and the interior of the room, include toilet also. After we done with the photography, then we start to do the measurement of the room. Every corner, we try to measure it too get the exact size. We also take the picture of lightning  to make the room more real

Things we do inside the room :

• Take the photo in every dimension
• Do the measurement for all the room
• Take the photo about the lightning
• Take note the facilities inside the room

Find an Information about Ruemz

We need to make the 3d room, so we need to ask the permission to do the survey. We go to the hotel and ask for the room when is available. While we wait for the permission, we get the brochure and look in through it.

According to these 2 brochures,  the design and the information is too simple and plain. There are some aspect that lack from these 2 brochures:

1. Design Aspect

The design is too plain. The use of typography is not represent the hotel concept. Layout doesn’t look interesting, with only one picture to represent the hotel ( First brochure) and the second one didn’t use colour at all, or just photocopy.

2. Content

The content inside these 2 brochure is not really clear. For the student, its only show 1 picture and the information is quite confused. For the guest, there’s only a table to show the room rates, and it’s very hard to sell to the customer, guest cannot imagine the room, and become confused.

In this current situation, in the sales view, guest may not interest to stay at Ruemz hotel because they cannot really imagine the room and also the information for the room, since the brochure is only photocopy. The customer think, the quality of the hotel is quite low.

For the website part, there are few issues for the customer :

1. Customer  will not sure whether the room gonna be comfortable or not, especially for the room size and the facilities inside the room.

2. There are few errors in the Ruemz Hotel website, when we click to the room photo, the other picture appears.

3. The photo can be manipulated, which means the photo inside the website is a camera trick to make the room look more bigger than actual size.

Decide the Final Idea

About 1 week,  we do consultation with our Lecture, finally on of 5 idea was choosen. I'm very happy that my idea was choosen which was creating 3D model room for hotels. At the first, we didn't know which hotel can we used for survey to make the 3d model room. Our lecture advice us to choose Ruemz hotels in Taylors University Lakeside Campus since we are student, so it's quite easy to do the survey and ask for the permission. Here are some screenshot about the hotel.

Do the brainstroming to find new idea

This is the table of our idea. My idea is a Hotel haha.. Hope it can be choosen. But, we need 5 idea, so we can decide what Augmented reality we created. Not just creating, we also learn how to attract customer and we learn about finding the new idea and technologies.

A bit introduced about my idea. My idea is a hotel, that useful for the guest. Usually guest only look at the brochure and didn't know that exactly inside the room, so I try to put this as my idea.

Property	Metaio	Scan the picture from the brochure	not wasting time to go to that location	the detail of the size is not exactly the same from the real one	to save the printing cost

Try to do research about Augmented Reality

In this session, we set up the group. And my group is Annisa, and Tri. These girls are my friend from first semester.

So, we need to find 5 Company that are using Augmented reality for their sales. After that, we present it in front of class

This is what we got while do the research in class. From this exercise, we know how the Company sell their product in many ways, for example Augmented reality. Augmented reality is a new way to represent the product. 

From the table above, there are many software that can be used to make Augmented reality. For example, Metaio, and AR media. 

The purpose of doing this research is to getting know for Our assignment, what software will be used. 

Week 1

This is my first week at Innovation And Collaboration class. The first day I came, we talk about Metaio and Junaio, we try to install the metaio on our computer and test Junaio on my iPad. This is awesome
